Colin Monteath has been on two remarkable assignments to the Himalayan mountains of the Kingdom of Bhutan. Both trekking journeys were traverses of the stunning Snowman trek that crosses eleven 5000 metre passes close to the Tibet border. Colin has also photographed the annual Teschu festivals in the capital Thimpu and in Paro and has also climbed up to the famous Taksang Tiger's Nest Buddhist monastery. Photographs include yak transport, forests, mountains, culture, Buddhist murals in monasteries, prayer flags, harvesting barley crops in Laya, Gaza, Chomolhari, Jangothang, Gaza and dzongs (fortresses).
